The deadline for this Edge cover was an interesting one because I was left to my own devices for the most part. I usually do a bit of my own research as a means of generating ideas while I'm sketching concepts, but I also read and rely on the accompanying story. In this instance, the story was the last thing added to the page because the writer severely missed the deadline. After being informed of the two plays, I did quite a bit of research and discovered a common link between the two stories' plots - Americana. The American flag bleeds into the roots of the tree.
