National Geographic Mock Story

The assignment was to develop and design a National Geographic story - the important part of the assignment being the last page. Most of the photography is mine.

Prague Book

A personal assignment that I turned in for class, this book is a "mini-scrapbook" (for lack of a better description) of my experience studying in Prague. The design/layout, photography, and writing is all my own.

Terezin Spread

One of my first, of many, layouts while attending the University of Miami. (Go 'Canes!) The photography is mine, taken at Terezin, a closed concentration camp outside of Prague. Walking around and photographing Terezin was one of the most moving experiences while studying abroad in Prague. The camp had no glass or rope barriers - I sat on one of the wooden beds prisoners would sleep on, poked my head through the opening of an incinerator, stood in the gravel where prisoners were hung or shot to death, and walked the tunnel the prisoners walked to their deaths. For more of the photos I took, visit my Flickr site - contains selected photographs I took while studying design and photography in Prague for half the summer of 2007.

Caitlin's Going-Away Gifts

One of the last things I did while attending Philadelphia University were these photo illustrations. Caitlin was my roommate and best friend; she loves the '60's, vintage, and funky earrings. After photographing her in the studio, I used curves in Photoshop to manipulate the colors. These are my favorites. I printed her special huge versions as a going-away gift, since I would be transferring schools.
